See allWelcome to the Post-Apocalypse
You Are a Survivor
VEIN is a post-apocalyptic survival multiplayer sandbox game. Gather supplies to survive, explore abandoned buildings, defend your home, and rebuild society, whether alone or with friends. Set in upstate New York after a devastating collapse, VEIN challenges you to survive in a harsh, dynamic environment.
Survive Together or Alone
Experience the world of VEIN with friends, with enemies, alone, or a combination of all three. Build safehouses, establish defenses against raiders, hunt and fish for food, and experience long-term survivalism. When canned goods run out, you're on your own.
Dynamic World and Intelligent AI
As time passes and seasons change, the world of VEIN does too. Persistent, large-scale random events affect gameplay. AI can see, hear, feel, and smell you--terrifying zombie variants make survival that much more difficult. Open mailboxes, adjust faucets, knock on doors, and interact with a fully simulated world featuring electrical, plumbing, and natural gas systems.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. You can host your own VEIN server, either locally or with a hosting provider like indifferent broccoli. Running a player-hosted server allows you to create and customize your VEIN gaming environment for survival multiplayer sessions.
If you're looking for the best VEIN server provider, we recommend you try indifferent broccoli. Our servers have quality hardware, DDoS protection, and 24/7 support via our 11,000+ member Discord.
The amount of RAM needed for a VEIN server depends on factors like the number of players and server settings. Generally, a server with 12GB RAM should be suitable for small to medium-sized player communities. All of our plans offer unlimited RAM.
Our basic VEIN server hosting package costs $6.99/month for 4 players. Our largest plan is $24.99/month for 32 players. We price our game hosting plans based on the max player count--not RAM.
We have servers in California (NA-West), Texas (NA-Central), Montreal (NA-East), and Germany (EU). You can select the location to minimize latency for you and your players.
Our largest plan allows a maximum of 32 players. NOTE: Because VEIN is in early access, the game can become unstable as the server population increases. The stability of the server will depend on player count, mod selection, and general server settings.
The minimum requirements for a VEIN server include a stable internet connection, sufficient RAM (at least 12GB), and a dedicated machine or a virtual private server (VPS). It also helps to have a loyal community of gamers to play with--especially if you're building a survival community or defending against raiders.
